Who's Who?

We're honored that you'd join us for today's Celebration of the Life of Warren Burwell.  Knowing that it can be hard to keep up with "who's who," here's our family and how we all fit together.

Thoughts from Dorothy

It's never easy to lose your best friend, your partner, your "share everything with" person.  I find myself thinking of you, the people we love, who have already walked this road.  Know that I see your heart, and I'm so sorry that we all know this pain.

Life without Warren is a whole new world, and there are days that it's hard to face it.  Sometimes I turn to share something with him - the new construction on our side of town, a funny thing that I heard on the radio, or a new adventure that our (now grown!) kids are taking on.  You can't spend more than half a century sharing a life without feeling that loss.

I find myself choosing to focus on the positives.  Warren had his wits about him, his incredible smile, and his kindness all the way up to his final day.  Even as his strength was waning, he was able to get around, dress himself, and enjoy time with family and friends.  Though the end came more quickly than we expected, I'm also so grateful that he didn't linger in pain.  We have been blessed with the most amazing team of doctors and medical professionals.  You know Warren well enough to know that even visits to his oncologist had laughter in them.  His medical team was gentle and thoughtful, even when they had hard news to share.

I'm lucky to have had the most incredible adventure with the most amazing man.  I love him.  I miss him.  Somehow, I have the feeling that neither of those two things will ever go away.

Thank you for being here to share this day with us.  It was important to Warren, and to me, that today be a beautiful celebration of the man he is, and the mark he left on all of our worlds.  Please stick around to enjoy some music, photos, family, dogs, games, and joy with our family.  It means the world to me that you're here.

Love,

Storyworth

This is the service that we used to be able to capture the stories and memories from Mom & Dad.  Having those stories to read over and over again has been SUCH a gift.

If you wish to do one for yourself - or as a gift - we recommend it highly! A subscription gets you 52 weeks of questions to answer, and a hardcover book.  (You can order extra copies if you want them.)  It's currently priced at $99.

You can use this link for $10 off, if you'd like.

Totally no pressure -- but we're so glad to have it.
